Chandrashekhar Nasib Banke college, which is popularly known as C.N.B. College,is situated in Hathiyawan. It is far from the din and bustle of towns and cities. In the aegis of late Rajo Singh, one of the most popular and veteran leaders of Bihar, the college was established in the year 1984 by late Banke Singh, the founder-secretary who donated a large piece of land to the college. The college has a co-education system and since the day of its inception, it is catering to the needs of the rural students, both boys and girls of the poor and deprived section of the society.

C.N.B. college is approximately Five kilometres away from Sheikhpura, the district headquarter. The college is linked from Sheikhpura with well-constructed roads and communication.

C.N.B. college is very rich in infrastructure and offers a golden oppoutunity to students to get an Intermediate and Bachelor degree in several subjects in Arts, Science and Commerce streams. The college has a highly” qualified team of teachers. Apart from the general education, it provides students an opportunity to take part in extra-curricular activities like sports, cultural programmes, debate and quiz. It has all the ingredients of a good educational unit. It has its own well-equipped labs, rich library, computer labs and a vast and pervading playground.
